Our Story

God has been so faithful in writing our story, guiding each of our steps long before we ever crossed paths. Back in April, our mutual friend Jim organized a mountain biking ride at the Whitewater Center. Whether it was “just a ride” or a little bit of a setup is still up for debate—but what we do know is that God was already at work.

Before that day, Jim happened to show Teague a photo of Meredith and her friend. Without hesitation, Teague pointed to Meredith and said, “That is wife material.” Meanwhile, Meredith was simply excited to meet a couple of new riding buddies. But the Lord had already been tenderly preparing her heart, reminding her that He had good plans for her life and future. Months earlier, a friend had even shared that she felt from the Lord that Meredith’s husband would find her soon and encouraged her to continue walking in obedience. It sounded a little overwhelming at first—but she received that prayer with faith. The same friend had asked about the mountain biking and whether or not there was potential with either of these guys. Her response, “nope, I don’t think so”.

About a month later, another group ride happened. Jim “just so happened” to be running late, giving Meredith and Teague about 30 minutes of riding together. Somewhere between trail chatter and troubleshooting a brake issue, Teague asked Meredith for her finger and jokingly tapped his to hers like the “E.T. phone home” moment. It broke the ice and marked the beginning of something sweet.

Soon after, Meredith reached out to follow up on something they had talked about, and Teague continued the conversation… then asked her to coffee. On that very first coffee date, Teague asked thoughtful, intentional, faith-centered questions—unlike anything Meredith had ever experienced. It became clear very quickly that this was different.

As their relationship began to grow, God continued to confirm what He had started. Both had prayed specific prayers for their future spouse, and one by one, the Lord answered those prayers in unmistakable ways—bringing alignment, clarity, and a deep sense of peace that could only come from Him. Even in the details of life, He showed His faithfulness: despite living in the same town just minutes apart for two years without knowing each other existed, God brought them together in His perfect timing… not too soon, not too late, but exactly when their hearts were ready.

What followed were countless hikes, summer kayaking adventures, laughter, deep conversations, and time together that rarely felt like a “date,” but always felt natural, joyful, and full of peace. Through it all, God’s hand has been clear.

We are so grateful for the way the Lord brought us together, for the love and support of our family and friends, and for every step that led us to this moment. We can’t wait to celebrate His goodness with you as we say “I do” and begin our marriage.
